I am working in a semi realistic fashion - exploring the tension between impression and representation - in that intriguing space where subject, materials, and inspiration converge. It is an exciting and challenging place to work from. I try to capture the emotion from that encounter in my work. And I love it when people get something meaningful out of one of my paintings that they can take home and live with.

Making paintings and connecting with an audience that appreciates what I'm trying to do is the best work I've ever done.

There is so much more to see and paint. It is a road without end.
